“This book is a must read! It gives the reader an opportunity to escape into their own reality and relate to the characters. It paints a vivid picture of the work environment in a psychiatric setting including the humorous events that often take place there. This time, the author addresses the home life of the characters, including conflicts with spouses and socializing in the community. You get a sense of each character’s motivations, challenges, successes and adventures which was enlightening.
My favorite parts of the story was the vivid description of the Great Northwest landscape and the detail of the characters’ appearance and their unique attributes such as smoking cigarettes, peculiar mannerisms and attire. I also enjoyed the development of the plot.
My favorite character was Rachel. She was passionate about everything and the challenges she faced and how she handled them were very realistic. The reader will find him or herself either cheering for her or getting very angry at her. She’s complicated and quite entertaining.
I would definitely recommend this book! I believe this book can reach a wide audience, particularly those who love thrillers and suspense. I enjoyed this story and look forward to future books by this talented author.
